Downstairs

There are three bedrooms on the ground floor:

Room 1 (click here for photo & prices)

The Gold Room is moderately spacious with a queen bed. Though sharing a full bath with room 2, the arrangement is private to the two rooms, and a compensation may be the very large and old eagle talon-footed tub with shower. An adjoining garden room opens onto an intimate patio with table and chairs.

The Peach Room, though of a different decor, is similar to the Gold Room. A full bath is shared with room 1, the Gold Room.

Room 3 (click here for photo & prices)

The Blue Room has a queen bed, a double hide-a-bed and a private full bath. It is moderately spacious with large east and south windows creating a bright and cheerful ambience all day and in all seasons.

Upstairs Rooms

Located on the second floor (up a single flight of stairs) in addition to a delightful display of art works at the top of the landing are three guest rooms and a small kitchen containing a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, coffee machine, dishes, utensils and an iron/ironing board. These accoutrements arer solely for the use of our guests.

The Pink Room has twin beds in trundle fashion. It shares a full bathroom with Room 6 (see below). This is our smallest room but is made cozy with family pictures and decor.

Room 5 (click here for photo & prices)

Room 5The Beige Room has a king bed and a most curious antique 3/4 Murphy bed. The room is of a quiet and masculine character, achieved partly by intricate wainscoting in concert with a wood tone decor. It is of stately proportions common to the grand old homes of yesteryear. A private bath with shower only accompanies this room.

The Master Bedroom, has a king bed, its own separate dressing room with sink, and shares a full bath with the Pink Room. This accomodation is similar to the Beige room in size but is palatial in appointments. A description by us will not do justice to its beauty. Note: private access to the bath room is available for a slight additional fee.

Maximum number of adults/room is 3. State and local taxes are added to all charges. Children older than six months are charged as an adult. Check out time is no later than 10:30 AM. No smoking is allowed inside any of the rooms or inside the house itself.

Guests/visitors may park along the front and left side of the house. Parking is private and free. Note: Rooms can be locked from inside but not from the outside. The doors are 1906 vintage and we couldn't bring ourselves to cut additional holes in the doors or moldings. Guests may secure small valuables in a house-provided safe. None of the rooms are accessed by staff or owner after they've been rented without being invited in by the guest/guests.

We heartily encourage day visitor tours of the home and grounds. The pleasure and inspiration they usually elicit pleases us more than anything else, and we therefore think any sense of obligation by the visitor fairly requited. We are not a business first, but last, believing many other things more important as will be made evident by your visit and tour. Please, no tips or donations; happily and fortunately, we are doing just fine.
